X ray vision camera problem?
I have brought the "Telephoto IR X-Ray Vision Camcorder KTC-3000X" yet, for some reason I can not get the X ray facility to work. Do I need to buy attachments for the camera to use the X ray facility?
Should have paid more attention in 8th grade science!
X-ray is at the opposite end of the spectrum as IR.
All CCD cameras are highly sensitive to IR.
Most use filters to block the IR for better natural colors.
This camera is not blocking the IR, instead using it as part of it's marketing.
You will note it states "IR X-Ray vision". It never claims to photograph X-Ray radiation. This eludes to the fact that while visible light emits or is reflected from the surface of objects, IR is emitted or reflected by the objects themselves. On clothed humans, this gives the illusion of seeing through clothing, and this perverse marketing has been used for generations.
So you got a camera so cheaply made they did not bother to install an IR filter, and instead of selling it cheap, they marketed it as X-Ray even though it is not. It is IR sensitive, but too crappy of a camera to do much with this de-hanced capability.
There is one born every minute.
