Two Replacement
Comments (0) In replacement of thermostat component in a two cabinet refrigerator, how do you adjust the thermostat? In this DIY project, thermostat used is branded ARUKI DVT9 for two cabinet refrigerator and I think is a British design. Problem is - after fixing, the non-freezer cabinet becomes too cold, so much so fruits & vegetables become frosted and damaged. What is the solution if the thermostat is factory adjusted and should not be readjusted. My frige is an old ACMA brand, S'pore made and no original replacement parts are available. I imagine UK fridges are similar design to USA. The way a two-compartment fridge works is to regulate with the thermostat, the temperature of the freezer compartment. The refrigerator compartment is fed cold air from the freezer by a fan and the refrigerator temp is regulated by opening or closing louvers in the air stream from freezer to refrigerator.
