I have a Panasonic Lumix which gives superb results but I know that many contributors will tell you that their camera of a different make is also great. My most important piece of advice is to buy one which has a separate viewfinder rather than relying solely of a screen. In sunshine or even a bright day a LCD screen is virtually useless. I would simply go to a larger stockist and see which one feels best in your hand.
