Digital photography tips and help?

I took a course of 36 hours at Sheridan College ... He has been impressive and has led to a passion for photography. The course itself was very technical, if not the hand. This is what I need ..... Can I have a picture "" transfer, ie ... f-stop, shutter speed, lighting, etc. .. I really want more practice, but not sure where to start. Thank you! I'm using a Canon Rebel Digital SLR smaller (f stop is 4.5 I think)

very broad question! : D never a right answer. I can not force the use of aperture priority mode and speed (opening game with depth of field, the game speed of movement and motion blur).
