Is it too risky to start a photography studio in this economy?
I think that goes to school for photography. I really want to start a photography studio where I can take photos above, weddings, family portraits, etc. has been my dream since I am very small. I think that goes to school for two years for photography. I have $ 230,000 to invest in a studio. Does this look good for the economy or what I'm going to crash! I am 25. Should I seek a partner? Does anyone have !!!??? advice
It is super risky and you see a low end market if one considers the school - which is a very competitive field, requiring a high volume of sales at low prices and margins, with competition from large established companies. First, I suggest you not get a partner - even you like and respect can change a lot when it comes to business, so that, above all, it is useful to consider very carefully! If You Need a contract for 100% waterproof and focus on what happens if the company fails or cooperation. So much as I can I invest in education - which is what you do not know what is important. Personally, To find the best photographers and see if I can help some for a month or two, or specific work. 230k is a lot of money - and can burn quickly. Work in the study implies the presence of the street, that means that someone with the man in the shop, someone else (probably) to sell and market taxes, tariffs, insurance, etc. The difference between work and home in a studio is huge - a massive increase in overheads that everyone must be justified in putting across firms more just to stand still. So if you buy a home or property in High Street, probably a better idea ... Choose an area where the type of people you want come through. Make sure that many pedestrians as possible can see his work regularly. What is learned from a photographer or a photo of the school of your choice well - my not so humble opinion is that most are a complete waste of time and teach him bad habits ... This training will be as good as its tutor or curriculum. If you think that most photographers and most schools are just average - that is the implication of the law of averages! (I assuming you want to be good;) What would you buy at least right now and I also want to consider second hand if possible - to keep their capital and invest properly way through the current economic problems are far from over! This amount is what most photographers after obtaining from many years of hard work, long hours, stress and risk - treat it like it is incredibly valuable ... is! So most of his hiding money and make the company show what you - and vice versa. I have no doubt you can do if you are motivated enough. The problem of having lots of money to start is that you will face very strong competition is very hungry ... You and lazy. I saw that before it sells a business as I am surrounded by a decade, a rich young man but lazy thought it would be easy, destroyed in less than a year and ended up working for real estate agents!
