digital infrared photography

Is it possible to eliminate infrared wash a photo?
I know how and why this happens and how to avoid it, but is a form to eliminate the washing of light in some digital photos that have already been taken, which is caused by infrared lamps? I am afraid the answer is negative, because I can think of anything (although the picture is not my area of expertise, I only know that I know from my physical training). Also, am I correct in assuming that the digital SLRs do not have this problem?
