New canon XSi owner; which lens?

Hey! So my birthday is Friday (June 26) and I am getting a camera upgrade. I'm going from a powershot to a rebel xsi.
But I need to know what are some affordable, yet good, lens to get? I mostly like macro and nature photography. And the zoom on my current camera is what I like the most so I was wondering which lens should I save up for.

well good affordable walk around lens? i will recommend (Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8) it cost about $400.

About macro photography, you need a true macro lens that gives you 1:1 macro. so it would be 60mm macro or 100mm macro. which is another $250 to $600 bucks depends on the brand.

Nature photography? hmm i would say you need a zoom lens, like 70-200mm f/2.8
which is about $700 dollar

*Remember one thing, that is no single lens will do all the work on your DSLR camera. If you wanna get the best image then the lenses about will do the job. if you just look for a regular walk around lens that does mostly everything then the 18-270mm lens will do but of course the quality of the image wouldn't be amazing.

canon lenses usually are very expensive, so you might wanna look for 3rd party, such as Tamron or Sigma. I own a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 and love it!
